Vacancy: Apprentice ICT Technician

Place: Ormiston Forge Academy, Wrights Lane, Cradley Heath, West Midlands. B64 6QU. 

Hours: 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Salary:  National Apprenticeship rate starting at £4.30 per hour

Contract Type: Apprenticeship - IT Solutions Technician Level 3 (18 month apprenticeship)

Job start: as soon as possible

We are looking to appoint an Apprentice ICT Technician who is motivated and passionate about IT. The postholder must have the desire for a career in IT along with a proactive mindset to work with the Network Manager and ICT team to help to ensure that a safe and encouraging environment is maintained in all teaching areas where ICT is in use. The postholder will support the team in providing a comprehensive and effective technical support service to students and all staff (teaching and support) at the academy.

Qualifications required: 

  • to be considered for the post you must have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade A to C or Grade 4* or above passes in  maths and English (*or equivalent)
  • A qualification in Information Technology/Computer Studies is desirable,
