About the role

Staffordshire ICT is responsible for the delivery of ICT services to Staffordshire County Council and a range of partner organisations. This post is responsible for ensuring that the Council’s compute infrastructure services are robustly managed to ensure that ICT services are highly available and secure allowing the councils workforce to deliver its core functions without compromise.      

You will be responsible for a team of ICT infrastructure officers that manage the Council’s infrastructure within its data centres. As the team leader you will manage the seven infrastructure officers, plan and allocate work. As well as managing a number of externally contracted services.

The role could suit an existing ICT team leader/manager wishing to develop their technical skills. Or an infrastructure engineer looking to move into a leadership role

What you’ll bring

You will have experience of managing Windows Server in a virtualised environment, team management and supplier management.

You will be experienced in ITIL processes and have substantial experience in relevant ICT areas. 

You will need to be a great motivator and be able to shape and build a team that is essential to the delivery of ICT services to the Staffordshire County Council and partners.

You will be a positive and supportive team player with a can-do attitude, customer focused and keen to improve and innovate.
