Sixth Form Pastoral Leader

Up to 37 hours per week  

Term Time plus 5 days (39 weeks per year)

Starting Salary Grade 7, SCP 16-22 £24,012 (actual £20,654)


The academy wish to appoint an experienced, inspirational and highly motivated Pastoral Leader for our Sixth Form to make a real impact in our school.  We recognise that post 16 programmes of study are demanding and as such want to ensure that the young people in our care have a range of support services, and resources available to draw upon during their time at our Sixth Form. 

The successful candidate will possess energy, vision and enthusiasm and believe that every young person deserves the best education.  A commitment to strong pastoral care and guidance, a willingness to learn, train and develop in the role are all essential.  You will work under the direction of the Head of Sixth Form to ensure the holistic development of each student including personal development, behaviour and welfare.

Our pastoral team is a vital link in liaising with our learners and we place great importance on our extensive support and interventions that are based on the individual needs of each student.  The responsibilities include providing support and guidance, attendance, mentoring, promoting positive mental health and well-being, ensuring a smooth transition from Year 11 and that all students are enabled to make progress and achieve their potential in and out of lessons.The successful candidate will be someone who is supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school, demonstrates a high level of general education and relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
