We are seeking a Head of Delivery to join the multi-agency team which is hosted by the Police and Crime Commissioner. You will be leading and working alongside people from a wide range of disciplines, organisations and backgrounds, and hold responsibility for supporting them to work together effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, innovative and engaging individual with a passion for preventing violence and supporting young people in the region to thrive.

You’ll be responsible for supporting the VRU Director, overseeing a range of functions that deliver VRU activity across the midlands, and also nurturing and establishing a strong partnership brand through a revitalised communications and engagement approach. As a skilled influencer, you will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to nurture new collaborations.

You will provide inspirational and strategic leadership and direction to senior managers working within the VRU and will support leaders across the organisations that comprise the VRU. You will be committed to reducing inequality across the region, be comfortable delivering in line with a public health approach and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion within the organisation.

You will be expected to coach, develop capability and drive performance in line with objectives, vision and values. We are therefore seeking someone with previous experience of operating at senior leadership level in a complex organisation.

You will have a demonstrable track record of organisational effectiveness, performance and continuous improvement.   You will have experience in maximising funding sources and identifying funding opportunities, whilst managing large budgets, tracking progress, identifying risk and opportunities.

The West Midlands region is a vibrant and diverse part of the country. The Police and Crime Commissioner is committed to equality and diversity and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of diversity and human rights, and a personal commitment to promoting diversity and racial equality.
