1 x Occupational Therapy Assistant Duty Officer

Part-time 21 hours per week

Scale 5 - £22,627 to £24,491 per annum pro-rata

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

An exciting opportunity has been created for an Occupational Therapy Assistant – Duty Officer to join our team in Adult Social Care, recently rated exceptional by our peers. Occupational Therapy in Telford delivers services in our new Independent Living Centre and assesses for and makes recommendations for equipment and adaptations as well as delivering Moving and Handling advice to carers. You will find the team warm and supportive and the work rewarding.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Duty Officer to manage the referrals coming into the team, speaking to people and professionals to gather the information needed to make a decision about the needs.

Having an overview of all the services the Occupational Therapy Team delivers, including equipment & adaptations, the Independent Living Centre and our Moving & Handling roles, the Duty Officer will be able to provide advice and manage queries as well as complete low level assessments over the phone.

The work with a variety of health conditions and develop clinical skills as well has having good customer services skills.

Working hours/days can be negotiated.
