To commence:  As soon as possible  until 21st July 2022

Part time position, initially 5 half days per week (23.75 hours) which will increase in line with the pupil’s phased return to mainstream education.

Term time only + TED days 08:45 – 13.30 per day

We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a child supported by an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in Year 4 as soon as possible. This is a fixed term position of limited duration of two terms to support a named child whilst they are a pupil at this school. Experience of working with children with autism and ADHD would be an advantage.

You will be required
• To provide care, inclusive play and learning opportunities for the pupil in order to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment as they continue their return to mainstream education.
• To meet the child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs by providing high quality learning activities.
• To have a sense of fun, bringing a sense of humour as part of a supportive approach.
• To support the pupil with their special educational needs and actively engage in the delivery of the educational work programme and activities according to the pupil’s EHCP and in conjunction with the class teacher. The class teacher will retain overall responsibility for provision.
• To be adaptable in approach, working as a positive member of the School Team, contributing towards whole school life as required.
• To assist in the day-to-day operation of the setting.

Any necessary training will be provided for the successful candidate.
