We are opening our first Children’s home and need Residential Care Officers who are caring, determined, resilient people to be lasting, significant adults in a child’s life.   Become a key worker for a child aged 8-12 years and make a difference to their lives, ensuring they receive the best care possible.  Come and join a new team and shape the future of our children’s homes.

 

 

Some of the key things we’re looking for:?   Confident residential care officers, with a positive attitude, who can get alongside young people, and has the determination to make our first home a success!

We are looking for somebody who wants the very best for children and young people; making sure every child and young person has the best possible care experience, that they feel love and joy and are encouraged to take the lead in their own life; working with them to build a positive culture and ethos in the home, and responding effectively when things don’t go to plan.  Somebody who can create a comfortable, welcoming, and child-friendly home environment that you would feel proud to live in and help our children smile!  

 

Somebody who believes in equality and that no one is better than anyone else – that children have the right to be treated respectfully as equals by the adults around them. Somebody who truly understand that care is a ‘doing word’ and that the change we want to make in our home relies on working with, not doing to, people.

The Role

 

We are looking to recruit 2 part time (14.8 hour) residential care officer roles.  We are also looking for 0 contract staff members to cover leave etc. All staff will be on a rota and enhancements are included in the salary when unsociable hours and sleep-ins are undertaken. The below hours are weekly.

 

 

 

Post 1 –Saturday 07:00-14:30, Sunday 07:00-14:30.

 

Post 2 – Saturday 14:30-22:00, Sunday 14:30-22:00.

 

 

Salary:

 

Post 1 - £8,037 plus £2,002.88 (25%) enhancement

Post 2 - £8,037 plus £3,356,18 (42% enhancement
