Blackfriars Academy is an outstanding generic 11-19 academy specialising in providing an outstanding education for students with a vast range of needs.


You will be joining an Academy which has made a major investment in ICT, every child has an IPad, there is a digital lead in every pathway and we employ a digital marketing apprentice. It is a great time to join us.


We are looking for an experienced Senior ICT Technician to join our school on a full time basis. You will ideally have experience working in an education setting preferably with an understanding of SEN. Experience of supporting Office 365 is essential for this role, as is experience managing websites and social media channels. A working knowledge of UK GDPR is vital along with knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018. Knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous, as would experience of using and maintaining assistive technology. Previous line management experience would be beneficial, as would a familiarity with visitor management systems.

Applicants must have:-
• Experience supporting core systems including Office 365.
• Working knowledge of UK GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018.
• A keen interest in Education particularly SEN.
• Experience of line management
• Experience of managing websites and social media channels
• Knowledge of using and maintaining assistive technology
• Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be beneficial.
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
