Fixed  term contract covering maternity leave, until 31/12/2022 in the first instance

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of our children and our families? Do you want to work in a nurturing school, where we care about every child, their families and members of staff? If so, the children of Hanbury Primary School are looking for you!

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and pro-active Family Support Worker who can make a tangible difference to our children and their families. This is a unique opportunity to join our strong safeguarding and SEMH team – who are a credit to Hanbury Primary. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work alongside our existing Family Support Worker, to allow for a smooth transition period. It would also provide an excellent opportunity for someone with strong safeguarding experience to work in a school environment, where the successful candidate can see the benefit of their work every day.

We are looking for a Family Support Worker who:

  • be an integral part of the safeguarding team
  • is able to make a positive difference to the children’s lives and their families
  • will liaise professionally with outside agencies, and make referrals as appropriate
  • will work closely with families to offer support including improving attendance

 

  • will attend meetings, make notes, compile reports, and record all concerns on CPOMS
  • is able to develop positive, nurturing relationships with our children and families
  • is able to use their own initiative and always gives 100%
  • has experience of working with primary aged children and families, through family support
  • has the ability to travel around the borough

32.5 hours, Term-Time plus 5 training days
