Fixed term contract covering maternity leave, until 31/12/2022 in the first instance

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and pro-active Family Support Worker who can make a tangible difference to our children and their families. This is a unique opportunity to join our strong safeguarding and SEMH team – who are a credit to Hanbury Primary. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work alongside our existing Family Support Worker, to allow for a smooth transition period. It would also provide an excellent opportunity for someone with strong safeguarding experience to work in a school environment, where the successful candidate can see the benefit of their work every day.

We are looking for a Family Support Worker who:
- be an integral part of the safeguarding team
- is able to make a positive difference to the children’s lives and their families
- will liaise professionally with outside agencies, and make referrals as appropriate
- will work closely with families to offer support including improving attendance
- will attend meetings, make notes, compile reports, and record all concerns on CPOMS
- is able to develop positive, nurturing relationships with our children and families
- is able to use their own initiative and always gives 100%
- has experience of working with primary aged children and families, through family support
- has the ability to travel around the borough
