Senior HR & OD Advisor
Hours: 37.00
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £33,782 - £37,890 per annum
Closing: 12 February 2022
Interviews: 21 February 2022

In this Senior HR & OD Advisor role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior managers in Children’s Services; helping them to improve performance and to embed our values and behaviours.

You’ll play a key role in supporting delivery of the Children’s Services improvement plan. On a day-to-day basis, this will see you offering expert guidance on matters related to workforce development, recruitment and retention, employee engagement and wellbeing.

You’ll also spend some of your time advising on complex employee relations issues. You’ll deliver OD interventions too - providing training, facilitating focus groups, running 1:1 coaching and driving people-related change and transformation.

From collaborating with trade union representatives to supporting managers and staff internally, your persuasion and influencing skills are going to be put to excellent use. It would be ideal if you have experience of and understand children’s social work within local government, however, this is not essential if you have transferrable skills and knowledge.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience advising managers on complex employee relations matters, and a sound understanding of employment law. You should also be familiar with delivering OD initiatives, assisting services to transform and drive performance through people to improve services following external inspections.
