Store Assistant and Driver

Salary:  £18,198- £18,562 per annum

 37 Hours per week –Fixed term contract (Full Time) until the end of July 2022

Staffordshire County Council is looking to recruit a Store Assistant/Driver to join their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) distribution team on a fixed term contract, based at its headquarters in Stafford.

About the role

Working within a team, you will support the smooth running of a small store of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  This includes the sorting, packing, handling, and distributing of PPE across the County and involves manual handling of boxes of PPE including loading/unloading deliveries. The accurate recording and monitoring of stock activity are important and ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite would be helpful.  You will need to travel throughout Staffordshire so will need access to your own vehicle. Essential car user allowance will apply to this role.

Good communication skills are a must for this role as you will be the point of contact for internal and external customers.
