The Role

 

The Minor Works Team form part of WCC County Highways, responsible for the design & delivery of various traffic and parking schemes. We manage and administer all Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) on the public highway including speed limits, lorry restrictions and provision of parking restrictions. This includes working with developers to implement highway changes to facilitate their new infrastructure, working with County Councillors to deliver their schemes funded by their delegated budget and working with various other teams in the County Council to assist in developing major works. We undertake the detailed design of schemes and work with our contractor to build a wide variety of minor road safety schemes, traffic calming, junction amendments, cycle and pedestrian facilities and provision of TROs. We have a number of vacancies which we are looking to fill to bring the team to full strength to deliver a considerable workload.
