TECHNICAL SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR

We are currently seeking to appoint a Technical Support Co-Ordinator for Shaw Education Trust to work across our Multi Academy Trust. The position will be based at Kidsgrove Secondary School, Staffordshire (this is negotiable). You will support the Infrastructure Directorate in the delivery of the respective services which include Asset Management Planning, Estates, Facilities, Compliance, Quality Assurance and Health & Safety. Ensuring that the various management information systems used to support the above functions are maintained and remain current in order to support the service delivery.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Director of Infrastructure.

The role will include supporting organisational management, providing technical support, project management support and support to the Trust and schools.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • • Leading the development and management of various business information systems, essential to the ongoing effectiveness of the team. These include a combination of bespoke and proprietary systems associated with; Health & Safety; Accident recording; Risk Registers; Asset Management; Energy Management; Utility Auditing.
  • • Analysing and evaluating data/information to produce reports/information/data as required and as requested.
  • • Undertake office administration duties on behalf of the Director of Infrastructure, Head of Estates which include producing documentation, emails and communication as required.
  • • Recording and supporting the operational meetings for the SET Estates team.
  • • Assist with support and guidance in relation to day to day delivery of facilities services, which include catering, cleaning, grounds and hygiene.
  • • Assist the Director of Infrastructure and estates team in the provision of individual and overall project programming and delivery, to review progress of work on a regular basis with the contractors.
  • • Responsible for the review of commercial agreements in place and identifying appropriate courses of action to the senior team.
  • • Support to the Estates team with the day-to-day management of all building projects, by preparing and producing project schedules ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met and appropriate paperwork is retained.

This is a full- time role (37 hours per week. You will be required to travel to designated sites and locations within the region identified.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and highly organised individual who can support a busy Infrastructure Directorate. You will effectively plan, organise and deliver to timescales and have the ability to prioritise. You will be educated to Level 3 in a suitable appropriate qualification. e.g. BTEC HNC/HND in Construction & Built Environment / Business and Finance / Project Management or similar related subject area or significant (3 – 5 years equivalent applicable experience)
