Job Details

Dudley MBC is a Community Council rich in history and is very focused on regeneration and reinvesting itself to meet challenges of the future, forming part of the West Midlands Combined Authority.  Legal Services continues to be accredited to Lexcel, the Law Society’s standard for excellence in Legal Practice Management and Client Care.

The Council requires a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with experience in Regeneration and Property Law. Must be able to work independently and as part of a much wider team, working cross-directorate and with external bodies. Good communication skills and the ability to manage large caseload.

One post available – 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 11 (SCP 36-39) (£39,486-£42,398 pro rata)

Location: 4 Ednam Road, Dudley/working from home

We have an opportunity available for an experienced property/regeneration Solicitor/Barristers within Legal Services Conveyancing Contracts and Major Projects Team on a permanent basis.  

The successful candidate will, amongst other things, deal with regeneration and property matters, manage caseloads, prepare property contracts and transfers and provide legal advice to the Council’s officers and Elected Members.

The successful applicant will be able to work within the Council's Flexible Working Policy, subject to the business needs of the Council being fulfilled. The Flexible Working Policy allows home working and a degree of flexibility on working hours. There is also a generous leave allowance.
