Year 6 Cover Supervisor (Scale 4 or 5 post dependant on experience)

30 hours per week

Scale 4 point 7 to 11 (£20,092 to £21,748) Pro Rata’d (£14,113 to £16,974) (£10.41 to £11.27 per hour)

Scale 5 point 12 to 17 (£22,183 to £24,491) Pro Rata'd (£15,582 to £17,203) (£11.50 to £12.69 per hour)

The Headteacher and governing body are seeking to appoint an exceptional Cover Supervisor into Year 6. If you enjoy a challenge and want to make a difference to young children’s lives, then we would like to hear from you.

The post can be given HLTA status for someone who is suitably experienced.

Working under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to support pupils and teachers, implementing agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. Cover Supervisors will also supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, with the primary focus to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.  Cover supervisors will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.
