About Us and the Role

The Arts Section operates three of Leamington Spa’s most iconic cultural buildings – The Royal Spa Centre, The Royal Pump Rooms and the Town Hall. Playing host to a variety of events; from theatre shows to music concerts, all the way through to lectures and comedy gigs and gallery openings.

There is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Customer Services Department, responsible for providing the Customer Service, Bar service, Stewarding and assisting with Box Office Operations across our venues.

We are seeking to expand our passionate team of Duty Managers who assist the Customer Services Manager and Customer Services Supervisor in the delivery of the arts service’s customer care strategy; whilst leading, motivating and training a team of customer services assistants.

We currently have the following contracts available: 2 x 400hrs (annualised) and 2 x 500 (annualised).

Roles and responsibilities will include:
Supervising, co-ordinating and training Customer Services Assistants whilst on duty.

Supervision and execution of the customer service aspects of events, performances and exhibitions.

Being the responsible person for the health and safety of the building, staff and visiting public whilst on shift.

To be empowered to investigate and resolve customer queries and complaints, to the Customers complete satisfaction.

Being a key holder for the premises – required to open and/or close and secure the buildings.

This role is integral to achieving our aim of providing first class customer service.

Many of our performances, events and exhibitions are held during the evenings and weekends – therefore this role offers part time working with a blend of daytime, evenings and weekend working. 

This is an annualised hours contract. Duty Managers are expected to be available for the month of December (pantomime is the busiest time of year) and as part of the contract, will be required to work a minimum of four hours on Boxing day and a minimum of four hours on either Christmas Eve or New Years Eve.
