Pest Control Officer

£19,698 - £20,903 per annum pro rata (pay award pending)

22.5 hours per week

Fixed-Term Contract until 30th December 2023

WDC seeks an enthusiastic and confident Pest Control Officer to sensitively handle a range of pest treatments and give advice to the residents of the District. We require a professional pest control officer to cover the District, as necessary, working as part of the Environmental Protection Team.

You’ll visit our customers across your area to make inspections, give advice and carry out treatments, making recommendations as appropriate and where required.

You will also provide written reports on inspections (including risk assessments), infestations and treatments.

We expect that you will carry out other tasks flexibly, and as needed in a safe manner in full compliance with the CRRU (Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use) code and its ethos.

You’ll need to have your RSPH/BPCA Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

To fill this role, you will also need competent written and spoken communication, a commitment to excellence and basic numeracy skills.

A clean current driver’s licence which must be maintained.

You must be able to work remotely or as part of a team and ideally work from home occasionally.
