Provision Planning Analyst
The Salary: £26,241 - £27,978
35 hours - Monday to Friday
The Role
Do you have the ability and experience to interpret, analyse and organise data and then present your conclusions clearly and logically? Do you have an interest in education especially for the most vulnerable children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the successful Education Sufficiency and Provision Planning Team within Worcestershire Children First. Within this role you will support the management and wider team to forecast pupil numbers so the Council can meet its statutory duty to ensure sufficiency of education places for children and young people in Worcestershire. You will be required to work closely with colleagues in the SEND Service and partner agencies.
You will also play a key part in liaising with district councils and housing developers to request Section 106 contributions for education provision as a result of new housing developments.
Key Requirements
You should be self-motivated and be able to work to competing timelines. You should have good problem solving skills and be able to offer innovative solutions to help improve outcomes for all children and young people.
The key skills you will need include an excellent knowledge and ability to analyse data, good communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written, and a willingness to learn. The main programme used for this work is Excel, therefore you will need considerable expertise in Microsoft Office programmes.
