32.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per year to include training days

We are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to support groups of children across the school in the first instance. From September onwards, the successful candidate will be based in a class. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to the commitment of the role, will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents and other members of staff and will be able to work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative. They will have a caring attitude and show patience to ensure all children are well-cared for. The role will involve supporting class teachers in providing targeted support for small group intervention and also one to one support where necessary. Experience of working with children with specific special educational needs is desirable. Experience in supporting the delivery of phonics teaching would be highly beneficial.
