The Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within KS2, to support a pupil with higher level SEMH needs.

Boughton Leigh Junior School is seeking to recruit a passionate, resilient and empathetic teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child who has diverse needs linked to their SEMH. You will join a supportive team and have the chance to grow professionally in a rewarding environment. The role will involve working one to one with a child, or in small groups. You may also be required to support other pupils with SEND. Personal learning plans will be in place for the child and you will be responsible for implementing these plans. The successful candidate will be able to encourage the child to be confident, independent and implement positive behaviour management techniques.

This is a fixed term contract until 31/7/2022 for 30 hours a week, term-time plus inset days.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will:
-be proactive and able to work off their own initiative
-be passionate about working with children who have SEN
-have experience of working with children with more complex special needs
-have the ability to support children in their mainstream lessons
-be able to provide in class support where appropriate
