An exciting opportunity to join Worcestershire Children First Vulnerable Learners Team
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking to appoint 2 dynamic, solution focused professionals to join the Vulnerable Learners team as Education Welfare CME Officers.
With a sound knowledge of school attendance matters and an insight of proactive strategies to promote regular attendance you will be required to support and challenge pupils, parents/carers and schools and work collaboratively with external agencies in order to identity and successfully overcome any barriers preventing regular school attendance.
The successful candidates will have experience of working directly with children and young people, as well as schools, and will need to possess excellent verbal communication skills, resilience and the ability to use diplomacy and professional challenge as required.
With an eye for detail, you will have excellent written communication skills as the post will require you to be able to interpret data and produce written documents that are clear, concise and comply with legislation.
As an Education Welfare CME Officer, you will ensure the statutory duties on behalf of the LA for CME are upheld. As a significant part of the role, we are looking for individuals with an investigative mindset and with the abilities to use initiative to identify bespoke solutions for each individual situation, paramount to ensuring the best outcomes for each individual CME are sought.
The role will require candidates to make school and home visits, represent in multi agency meetings and uphold safeguarding and welfare duties at all times. You will need to possess excellent time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
