Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor
Full Time Permanent
Grade 5, Spinal Point 6 (Term Time Only).
£14,873 per annum, 32.5 Hours. Pending Pay Review.
Codsall Community High School are looking to appoint a Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor, starting ASAP.
As a Learning Supervisor you will:
- Work as a cover supervisor in the absence of a teacher.
- Take responsibility for a class of students carrying out work as set by a teacher.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
- Provide structured support, including tutorial support, in accordance with schemes for learning designed and supervised by individual teachers.
- Use specialist knowledge to provide appropriate support to students in relation to their individual needs, e.g. behaviour management strategies.
- Contribute to raising standards by ensuring expectations are set for students.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation.
- Develop a positive learning ethos within the school and federation.
Codsall Community High is a school for students in Years 9 to 13 with almost one thousand students on roll and over three hundred students in the sixth form.
The post would suit somebody who has experience of working in a school environment in a teaching capacity or somebody who is thinking of going into teaching in the future.
