Job Details

HR Digital Services is a small, busy, vibrant and innovative team that provides digital, ICT and data services for Human Resources. 

The Council’s People Plan sets out the HR service’s ambitions to inspire others, and drive and secure opportunities to improve and transform the services we offer to the citizens of Coventry.  Our role within that is to lead the development of digital service delivery for HR across the Council and for our external customers. This includes systems and data with some of our key priorities for the year being the development of our corporate systems, the implementation of a data warehouse, and the migration of our operational reporting services to new tools.

As well as delivering projects, we undertake a range of system administration activities for the HR systems, including Resourcing, Online Learning, HR Casework, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing and our management information databases.

What is the job role?

Following a service reorganisation, we have a brilliant new opportunity for a dynamic and focused Analyst to join us in our friendly team. This role would be ideal for someone with experience of data, reporting and IT systems within a similar position.

Reporting into the Systems & MI Team Manager, this is a new role within a developing Human Resources service providing you with fantastic opportunities to learn and grow and the satisfaction of seeing how you help make the organisation run more effectively.

Working with the wider HR service and corporately, you will undertake a range of system development, configuration, administration and reporting functions to ensure the best user experience and maximisation of system functionality.

In further detail this will include:

  • Working with the service to improve business processes by optimising the use of features and functionality in the systems
  • Reporting and analysis of workforce data
  • Assisting users via Teams, face to face, and by the creation and updating of guidance notes using a range of media
  • Taking ownership of issues/tasks and working with system suppliers in relation to resolving system issues and queries.
Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual with knowledge and experience within a similar role.

You will have a high standard of education and have functional knowledge and experience of supporting business systems, completing reporting and analytics and providing support to a wide range of system users.

Due to the interactive and partnership nature of this role it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise on system related issues and activity and the ability to build good relationships with business customers at all levels.
