Job Details
We are looking to recruit a Senior Home Support Assistant. This is a new post within the STAR service and it is hoped that the role will evolve overtime, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to shape it’s future.
The role will be a mixture of ‘hands on care’ (approximately 60%) and lower management tasks. The latter may include:
- Carrying out Environment Risk Assessments.
- Supporting the induction of new Home Support Assistants.
- Assisting members of the Management Team to deal with medication issues.
- Completing Community Observation check lists.
- Supporting the Management Team to complete necessary quality assurance audits.
- Office cover to deal with low level enquires from staff and Service Users.
It is essential that you hold RQF Level 2 or equivalent (eg. NVQ Level 2 in care) and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with vulnerable adults in a domiciliary care setting.
You must also hold a valid full current drivers licence.
An Enhanced Adults Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check will be required for this role.

Hours
35 hours per week and the rota pattern is: 2x7am-3pm; 2x3pm-11pm; 1x10am-6pm followed by 3 days off
