This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, professional, enthusiastic and organised Attendance Officer.

You will work closely with our wider Guidance Team to promote excellent attendance and reduce levels of absence, ensuring that attendance data is maintained accurately and is checked daily for the safety of all students. Good numeracy, literacy and general IT skills are essential attributes, as will be the ability to relate well to adults and students.  The post holder is required to liaise with a range of agencies, have an eye for detail and work effectively to deadlines. Previous experience of working in a similar role within a school environment will be desirable. A knowledge of Go4Schools or SIMS would be an advantage but above all we are looking for someone who is an effective team player and has the desire and commitment to develop their knowledge of these systems. You will work in our purpose built student reception area, alongside our student reception team. Part of the role will require some cover for our student reception team according to whole school needs.

The job description is generic but there will be every opportunity as part of the interview process to discuss this in detail.

The role requires an 8.00am start.  Total working hours to be agreed on appointment.

King Edward VI School is a popular 11-18 comprehensive school rated Good by OfSTED in 2017 with recognition of outstanding practice and high expectations. The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching. Lichfield is a small, vibrant cathedral city which is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
