John Wheeldon Primary Academy

Grade 4 – Senior Site Technician – Fully Year - 32.5 hours per week (pro-rata)

Pay Scale 4-6 Salary £18,433 - £19,698 (full time, full year equivalent)

The Local Academy Council and Senior Leadership Team of John Wheeldon Primary Academy would like to appoint a Senior Site Technician to provide efficient and effective premises and health and safety support to the Academy.

Such support will be inclusive of ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards set by the academy, heating systems operate at optimum efficiency and that the Academy is a safe learning and working environment.

Under the guidance of the Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Site Technician will support the delivery of effective health and safety management, premises maintenance, security and management. The successful candidate will work with the Academy’s Site Technician and Academy Operations Liaison.

John Wheeldon Primary Academy is a large and inclusive primary Academy in Stafford. The successful candidate must be a good team player who is self-motivated with excellent communication skills, be able to develop strong relationships both externally with contractors and other stakeholders, and also internally with the Academy staff. We are seeking to appoint someone with experience working within a maintenance setting and with the ability to cope under pressure, and who is looking for opportunities to grow within their role through a programme of continued professional development.
