Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to manage our Green Care service and help us as we strive to deliver the best possible service for Dudley.

In your role you will provide leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of Parks and Open Spaces, Grounds Maintenance and Countryside Services, protecting, developing, enhancing and promoting the Borough’s green spaces for the benefit of residents and visitors.

You will work as a key member of the Street, Green Care & Amenity Services leadership team within the Public Realm Directorate, drawing on your significant experience in a senior management position. You will hold a recognised managerial qualification to degree level or an equivalent NQF level 7 professional qualification or have the ability to demonstrate through extended experience and training the necessary knowledge to carry out the full range of duties.

How you work is as important to us as what you know. You will be able to recognise the need for change and be able to deliver it, be able to communicate at all levels, be able to work to meet deadlines and targets, as well as designing and implementing management plans and work schedules. You must also have a current driving licence.

This post requires an enhanced disclosure in accordance with the Children’s Act 1999.
