Job Details
Ingestre Hall, a beautiful Jacobean mansion in rural Staffordshire, is an inspirational residential setting for creative and expressive arts programmes, mostly for school groups. The centre is one of four residential education centres run by Sandwell Council, to enrich the lives of children and young people.
A music instructor is required to deliver high-quality, creative music composition workshops, based on themes chosen in partnership with visiting staff, to groups of school pupils.
The successful applicant will work closely with others in a small team, dedicated to supporting the broader learning and development of children and young people through residential programmes.
Applicants should have:
• At least 3 years’ experience of working musically with children and young people in a classroom or workshop setting
• A formal qualification in teaching instrumental, vocal, or recorded music
• Confidence in composition and studio recording, eg. Cubase
• Experience of preparing young people for performance
• An understanding of, and commitment to, the benefits of short-stay residential education
