Teaching Assistant – (Cover Supervisor)

Level 3: SCP 007 - 019

 (Actual Salary - £14,531.70 - £18,510.64 per annum – Term time only)

 (12 month Fixed Term contract in the first instance)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Cover Supervisor), 31.25 hours per week, term time only. You will need to demonstrate:

•          Your ability to work as part of a very enthusiastic team.

•          Commitment, flexibility and energy.

•          Excellent behaviour management skills.

•          A knowledge of the EYFS/ Key Stage 1 & 2 National Curriculum and assessment.

•          Willing to undertake suitable training for your own professional development.

• Happy to support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Your responsibilities will include:      

•           providing support to pupils to achieve learning goals e.g. leading phonic sessions.

•           supervising pupils for a particular curriculum activity under the guidance of a qualified teacher.

•           assisting the teacher with the planning of learning activities.

•           assisting in maintaining classroom discipline through the implementation of the schools behaviour                                                                                   management strategies.

•           assisting with the day to day routines of a classroom including the preparation of resources.

• assisting the teacher in monitoring pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed.
• supervising whole classes occasionally during the short term absence of the teacher.
