Do you have a passion for working with people in an Adult Social Care or Health setting?
Sandwell MBC and South West Birmingham NHS Trust are working in partnership to provide short term reablement in a newly built integrated Social Care and Health Centre, opening in July 2022. The centre will be an 80 bedded reablement centre based on Harvest Road, Rowley Regis.
We are now recruiting to a variety of roles within both organisations.
This will be an exciting opportunity to work in a new purpose-built service supporting individuals to regain their skills and confidence so that they can return home.
In your role as a Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of order/tidiness within the laundry area.
Your role will include:
- Collecting laundry items from around the home as required.
- To undertake all laundering stages using machinery provided.
- To iron and finish laundered items including use of rotary iron.
- To sort and deliver laundry items to individual service users rooms.
- As required, identimark laundry items.
- To keep linen cupboards tidy.
You must have a willingness to take part in any training relevant to the role and the service area.

Hours
14 hours x 2
All shifts 6pm till 10pm
You will be required to work mainly early shifts but there may be times when you would be required to cover a late shift. This will also include working weekends and bank holidays on a rota pattern
