The Role- Level 2 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with an EHCP on a 1:1 basis.

As a Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will include: in-class support, group work, interventions, 1:1 support, first aid and general welfare. The roles require a good knowledge of current practices, including phonics, a positive approach, a willingness to learn and a desire to be part of an effective team.

You will be employed on a fixed term contract linked to the EHCP of the child. You will be appointed on Grade 3, working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Your working pattern will be discussed at interview stage. Your actual salary will be £15,952 per annum.

The Role- Lunchtime Supervisors

We are looking to appoint two Lunchtime Supervisors to join our dedicated team at Hurst Hill Primary School.

Vacancy Reference: HVT 0294

You will be appointed on Grade 2, Working 3.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. Actual Pro rata £1,514 per annum. This is a fixed term contract.

Vacancy Reference: HVT 0295

You will be appointed on Grade 2, Working 6.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. Actual Pro rata £2,523 per annum. This is a fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for the safe supervision and welfare of our pupils during the lunchtime period. We expect our Lunchtime Supervisors to have a positive attitude to the security and safety of our children, to follow verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with other staff and pupils in school. You will need to be patient, flexible and firm, as well as being able to treat children fairly.

You will already have:

  • Experience of working with children
  • The ability to communicate with children at varying levels of understanding and age.

You will be:

  • Willing to undergo appropriate training when required, and be willing to work with/supervise children indoors and out.
