1 POST

37 Hours PERMANENT

OFFICE BASED ROLE

At the West Midlands Pension Fund, we believe that our environment plays a vital role in supporting our people, our members, and our employers. As we enter the final stages of our move to Wolverhampton’s i9 development, our premises will play a vital role in the Fund’s positioning as an industry leader, source of information and support to our stakeholders, together with being a highly engaged employer, exploring the ways in which our new home will enhance these functions for everyone we serve.

In the year to March 2021, the Fund delivered 75 employer events, and reached over 3,500 members through its digital engagement, an area which became a priority for our communication team in the absence of face-to-face events. As the Fund’s engagement efforts continue to expand, both digitally and in-person, it is critical that we our space and technology to support our aims of creating a space of opportunity to become involved.

To support our aims, we have created the new and exciting role of Facilities Manager which will lead the in-house facilities function of the Fund’s offices ensuring the workspace supports the Fund’s objective of being a place of opportunity through the management of a professional event space that supports and serves our customers, together with an effective office management framework that leads a supportive and welcoming environment for our people to work and to develop their knowledge.

Key to the success of the role will be an accomplished background in providing front line customer servicing for both external and internal stakeholders, a sound knowledge of the statutory duties imposed on employers in how they manage their workspace together with management of suppliers and contractors. This role will also be responsible for managing the office space through a bespoke booking and visitor management system.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant First Aider/Health & Safety qualification and have good experience of leading an in-house facilities service which supports a variety of functions.
