DMBC are looking for Fire Door Repairs & Maintenance Carpenters
We are currently looking for experienced fire door maintenance carpenters to join our employment and help us deliver a number of long-term fire protection projects. As a directly employed member of our team you will be required to maintain, repair and replace existing fire door sets and carry out fire door maintenance to third party certification standards to a wide range of various Council sites, including domestic dwellings, communal areas, Sheltered Housing Schemes.
Experience within Fire door maintenance and installations is essential.
As a minimum the post holder must be able to undertake the following activities to a consistently satisfactory standard;
Maintenance to existing fire doors
o Doors / frames incorrectly fitted or damaged
o Doors not engaging
o Incorrect / insufficient fire stopping between door frames and structural opening. (Behind architraves).
o Faulty door closers
o Damaged fire seals
o Glazing not to specification
o Remove/re-fix and install new internal and external doors and windows (timber and UPVC)
o Replace timber floors and structural timbers
o Install/repair garage doors (timber and steel)
o General carpentry works appropriate to NVQ Level 2.
Applicants should be able to manage their own diary, be punctual, polite, and keen to work as part of a busy fire safety team. In addition, you will be required to follow established company policies and procedures, ensuring safety standards are satisfied and that quality control standards are maintained
Location: The Leys Depot, Brierley Hill, Dudley
