We are looking for a teacher to cover a maternity leave in our friendly, village, rural school.  To begin in September 2022 we require a qualified teacher or NQT to join us as a class teacher in either KS1 or lower KS2.  With a genuinely inclusive approach, beautiful surroundings and a supportive and friendly team, this could be the perfect place to begin or build your career.

At The Richard Clarke First School, we pride ourselves on innovation, high quality provision and excellent outcomes for all learners. We want someone who can deliver exciting and engaging lessons that enable all pupils to achieve high standards and make great progress.  You will be the type of person who thrives under a challenge, can be part of a small but dynamic team and can display the qualities required to become an outstanding class teacher.

In this class teacher/NQT role you will have the fantastic support of experienced colleagues and the guidance and advice from a kind and friendly Headteacher.  You would be mentored by a fantastic teacher.

OUR SCHOOL:

The Richard Clarke First School is a small, happy, friendly, rural community school, situated in Abbots Bromley. The village itself has a rich cultural heritage and the school takes its name from a local man who made his fortune in London in the 1600s.  Today, the endowment fund still supplements the school budget and his legacy continues. We are members of the Uttoxeter Learning Trust and have strong partnerships with schools in the area.

Our school motto is TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) and we celebrate individual success whilst fostering team spirit.  We pride ourselves on our positive, vibrant and caring ethos.

The staff at our school are caring, experienced and committed to meeting the individual needs of every child, and to creating a happy and secure environment.

Our children enjoy a rich curriculum that is broad and balanced and is enhanced by a fantastic enrichment programme to cater for all children’s interests and learning styles.  Every day is packed full of joy, friendship and exciting learning.

We have high standards, we continually strive for excellence and are proud of our many successes.  OFSTED (2017) said Richard Clarke is a good school which continues to go from strength to strength.  In fact, Richard Clarke has been judged consistently good with outstanding features since OFSTED began!

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.  Please also visit our school website to get a feel for us, we have put a virtual tour on for you to get an idea of what our school is like.  If you are interested in our position, I would ask you to email headteacher@richardclarke.staffs.sch.uk to ask for an application form and further details on how to apply.  Any questions please email us your phone number and a member of staff will give you a ring.
