About Us and the Role

At Warwickshire Legal Services, we run a very different kind of in-house legal team. Forward looking, commercially driven, and focused on delivering expert legal advice, we are looking for motivated, ambitious trainee solicitors to join our award-winning, nationally recognised legal service.  We are currently inviting applications for 5 training contracts, commencing 2023 and 2024.

Warwickshire trainees benefit from a 24-month training contract, spread across our 4 main service areas.  Working in each of our teams for 6 months will provide you with the opportunity to work with internal and external clients, across a broad range of legal practice areas.  Dedicated mentors and supervision complete our package, which provides the whole framework you need for your qualification to solicitor.

Warwickshire Legal Services operates as a commercial business within Warwickshire County Council, generating our own income from providing comprehensive services to the Council, and from supporting a diverse pool of external public sector clients and partner bodies including the police and other councils.  Few in-house teams operate this way, and our approach gives you a unique environment in which to start your career. You’ll join an award-winning group of innovative legal professionals providing work opportunities across a wide range of areas including Planning, Commercial, Contracts, Property, Education, Child Protection and Adult Social Care.

In short, we are an ambitious, nationally recognised team that wants to deliver consistently outstanding legal work. Because of our unique offering, we boast a diverse range of legal talent for you to learn from, and we’re proud to say that the solicitors who train with us tend to stay with us.
