Tourism and Regeneration Assistant

1 year fixed term contract (during sandwich year from University) - £9.50 per hour 

We are looking for an undergraduate student to assist in the effective delivery of the Council’s Tourism and Regeneration service.  In particular, the role will involve supporting on the implementation of tourism opportunities and event production (Regeneration).

This is an exciting and varied role providing a great experience to support a degree qualification. You will be championing the district as a tourism destination for day visits and short breaks, and you will support with the preparation, marketing and distribution of the Districts’ promotional literature. There will also be the opportunity to network with partner organisations to maximise Wychavon’s opportunities to maintain and enhance the local economy, through business investment and visitor spending.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must be undergraduates and looking for a work placement as part of their sandwich degree course.

We also require a minimum of two ‘A’ levels or equivalent. You will be a confident communicator, passionate in Tourism and Regeneration, and you must be flexible to attend events at weekends and Bank Holidays.  There will be evening work at times.

Placement to commence August/September 2022.

Skills & Experience:

You need experience of community groups and clubs, event management, and be IT literate.
