Job Details
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented individual to join our team as a Service Development Manager. This is a new role and is offered on a permanent full-time basis, however, we’re also happy to accept applications from those who are looking to work part-time. Candidates from Local Authorities may apply for this role on a secondment basis.
Reporting to the Director, Leadership, OD & Resourcing, this is a pivotal role within the Leadership and OD team responsible for managing the commercial consultancy service and is the lead interface with our L&OD service leads and our talent bank of associates.
In this role you will take clients briefs, write proposals, and prepare bids for work, to meet our client needs, which may be a combination of bespoke or off the shelf products and services.
You will also source, design, and launch new Leadership and OD products and services, and subsequently monitor the outcomes to capture impact, value added and improvements. You will work closely with our WME Associates who you will commission to deliver, on behalf of WME, to our clients across the region.
The Leadership and OD team, of which you’ll be part of delivers;
- Organisation Design and Development
- Coaching and Mentoring
- Leadership and Management Development
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- WM 360 service
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing a customer facing service to the highest of standards and can demonstrate excellent consultation skills to involve stakeholders, both internal and external, in exploring innovative approaches and solutions.
As someone who is energised by working collaboratively and building strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, you will have the ability to flex and adapt your approach to your audience and the needs of the organisation. This will be supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation and project management skills and commercial acumen.
You’ll likely have experience of working within HR and / or Learning and Organisational Development coupled with a passion for learning and development, people and organisations. What is essential however, is that you’re able to understand a client’s needs and offer products and solutions that will be able to support them to achieve those.
For a confidential discussion regarding this role please contact Chloe Herrmann, Senior Consultant, via c.herrmann@wmemployers.org.uk
Please note, if you wish to apply for this post on a secondment basis, please ensure you gain your line manager’s approval before applying.
