Teaching Assistant (Outreach Behaviour Support)

Perryfields Primary Pupil Referral Unit has been judged to be outstanding by Ofsted on four consecutive occasions, but is excited about making things even better for our vulnerable pupils.

Perryfields is seeking to appoint a hard-working, dedicated, enthusiastic and inspirational practitioner to join our ‘Outstanding’ team.

Perryfields provides provision for permanently excluded pupils, proactive behaviour courses for pupils at risk of permanent exclusion and outreach behaviour support for 113 Primary, First and Middle schools in South Worcestershire.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • High expectations and a commitment to inclusion.
  • Advanced subject knowledge in identifying pupils at risk of exclusion and their specific needs.
  • The ability to motivate and support mainstream teachers and SENCOs to implement appropriate behaviour strategies with pupils at risk of exclusion.
  • A growth mind-set and a desire to continue your own continued professional development, alongside the willingness to learn and be reflective in your own practice.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptive and versatile in an ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to be able to work as part of an effective and successful team.
  • Ability to be empathetic, caring and have a high level of humility.
  • Ability to be able to work under your own initiative, showing creativity when faced with a challenge.
  • A positive attitude towards work and a willingness to work hard.
  • A commitment to engaging in Continuous Professional Development.
