Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people who live at Howbury? We currently have a part time, permanent Kitchen Domestic Assistant position available. All vacancies include alternate weekends and bank holiday working.

About Us:

Howbury House provides long term residential accommodation and support for 32 individuals. We are registered with CQC to provide personal care to people, some of whom maybe living with dementia.

We are an established team of dedicated staff and are very proud of the work we do and are looking for caring people to share our commitment to provide the best care for our residents.

The successful applicant must be able to assist the cook in the preparation of hot meals, cold meals, snacks, and to prepare simple meals in the cooks’ absence. To provide a satisfactory service of food to service users and staff. An awareness of the rights and needs of older adults and experience of work as part of a team is essential. You will need to have the ability to undertake the general cleaning of kitchen equipment and premises and to wash up utensils and crockery and the ability to read, weigh and measure ingredients.

To comply with the Statutory Regulations contained in the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring that appropriate levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen and related areas.

You will be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and regular Covid 19 testing as set out by the government.
