TA2 Point 5, £ 19,312 per annum Pro Rata FTE

12 hours 20 mins ( 2 days per week)

We are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching / support assistant Grade 2 for our inclusive one form entry primary School situated in Rushwick village. If you have had experience of with additional needs, speech and language or Thrive either within a school or specialist setting this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We require an enthusiastic, hard –working and highly motivated teaching assistant in KS1 to provide one to one individual support to children identified with SEND, under the guidance of SENCO and the class teacher. We require someone with exceptional strong behaviour management skills.

We are looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant/ learning support assistant who has experience in supporting individuals with language / communication needs and has a good understanding of how a pupils needs, with an EHCP  can be met and what your responsibilities are under this framework within a mainstream setting.

Must be able to work independently on their own initiative with a child on a 1-1 basis. Be able to demonstrate the impact you have on a child’s progress and development.

You will need to be flexible and focused in your approach and committed to supporting SEND in mainstream schools as the post will require potentially supporting more than one child with an EHCP on different days.

The post is for 2 days per week, 8.40 to 3.20pm, and fixed term time only contract attached to a child while they are in our school. Your application will be subject to 2 educational references and an enhanced DBS check.
