Licensing and Compliance Officer

City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking to recruit to the post of Licensing & Compliance Officer to work in a busy Licensing Team within the Council's Place Directorate.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in Licensing Services working on a range of matters from the Licensing and Gambling Acts, Street Trading, Charitable Collections, and many other licensing regimes.

We are seeking candidates with  significant licensing or regulatory experience. You will be processing applications and undertaking compliance activities and action. Furthermore, you will be providing technical guidance on regulations and statutory obligations regarding the Licensing function to members of the public, trade and Councillors.

You will be required to visit licensed premises to ensure compliance with conditions of Licence. Out of hours work will be necessary. 

We are seeking a flexible and committed individual with an ability to manage high and competing workload, who has good communication and customer service skills. Competent with information technology systems is essential as is an eye for detail and accuracy.
