We have a fantastic opportunity within our Commercial Team/Strategic Construction Partnership projects team for the role of Quantity Surveyor. We are looking to appoint an individual with the enthusiasm to join us on our journey from good to great and to help us achieve our ambitions and make a real difference to people’s lives through the delivery of major programmes of work.
We are looking for an individual who will;

• Support the commercial team by carrying out financial management and performance reporting of our in-house maintenance team and our supply chain.


• Maximise value for money in the services provided by our in-house team by providing accurate job costing, forecasting and maximising income.

• Provide robust commercial management of overheads, including stores and fleet.

• Support the procurement of contractors and suppliers ensuring financial appraisals are undertaken and schedules of rates are appropriate to ensure value for money.

• Support the Strategic Construction Partnership in accordance with open-book cost management, providing cost plans, target costs, bills of quantities, schedules of work and Task Orders.
You must have;

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or other construction related discipline.

• Experience of managing or reviewing operations of in-house maintenance organisations.

• Experience of procuring works and, or material supply contracts.

• The ability to mentor and support colleagues ensuring they meet development targets and adopt our values.

• Leadership skills to ensure collaborative working and the partnering ethos is fully embedded.

• Experience of undertaking robust financial and performance appraisals of in-house maintenance organisations.
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor the Quantity Surveyor will work collaboratively with our in-house teams, Strategic Construction Partners and other external contractors to deliver a quality commercial service that delivers value for money whilst maximising opportunities to deliver social value outcomes ensuring that our vision and valves are at the heart of everything we do.
