HEAD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
MPS/UPS (TLR2a)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a very successful Computer Science Department as Head of Department, within a popular, well established and forward-thinking school.
Computer Science is an extremely popular choice at GCSE and A Level, with several classes in each year group. Our IT facilities and infrastructure are excellent, and we have a sustained record of exam success in the subject. It would be advantageous but not essential to be able to teach Engineering to GCSE Level or ICT to A-Level.
Trinity High School is a successful, over-subscribed mixed 14-19 comprehensive school in Redditch. Ofsted judged the school to be good in all categories in October 2018, commenting that “the students are a real asset of the school”. Since this inspection we have continued to strive for excellence. We have embarked on an exciting teaching and learning journey, which is driven by a commitment to high quality curriculum and the very latest pedagogical thinking around cognitive science and learning.
We provide a first class CPD programme at Trinity High School, underpinned by our Teaching and Learning Vision, which supports the professional development of teachers at all stages in their careers.
Trinity High School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. It has policies and procedures to ensure that this occurs. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
The post is suitable for an experienced teacher wishing to progress. The successful candidate must be passionate about pedagogy, well organised and hard-working, with high expectations of themselves, students and colleagues.
Please follow TES instructions to make an application. We can only accept applications on the TES application form.
