This post is offered as a 2 year fixed term contract.

The Governing Board are looking to appoint a knowledgeable, pupil centred teacher with a proven track record of success in promoting the best outcomes for children and young people with Social , Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The successful candidate will enhance our growing outreach team who work as part of the Wolverhampton Outreach Service offering support to mainstream practitioners to enable them to more confidently meet the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are looking for a teacher ideally with experience of specialist or alternative provision who is confident to work with children and young people from across the key stages.
This is a varied and exciting role with an emphasis upon supporting mainstream practitioners to meet the needs of children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
This will include
- Observation of classroom practices with face to face feedback
- Shared action planning and strategy implementation
- Analysing behaviour to produce personal positive behaviour support plans
- Support for inclusion, access and transition
- Support with differentiation and planning
- Whole school training and SEND CPD
- Preparation of resources
- TAC and EHCP support
- Support for parents / carers
The successful candidate will spend four days each week supporting practitioners in mainstream settings and one day working to support and develop practice within Penn Hall School.

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a confident user of ICT.
Penn Hall School is a maintained special school for 110 children and young people aged 3 -19 years with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
