About Us

The Country Parks Service has a portfolio of 5 Country Parks and 3 Greenways across Warwickshire serving in excess of 900,000 visitors a year.

You will be based at Ryton Pools Country Park. Ryton Pools Country Park is a 100 acre country park and is great to explore.  There are many different habitats that are home to a wide range of birds and other wildlife. The excellent surfaced paths enable easy walking around the site, and provide access to adjoining ancient woodland Ryton Wood, the two new Play Areas and Pirate Trail.

We’re looking for a Visitor Service Assistant to join our team.

The Role

As our Visitor Service Assistant you’ll be working alternate weekends Bank Holidays and Warwickshire school holidays.

You will provide excellent front line customer service and support the smooth running of the Visitor Centre in a busy country park. Through dealing with queries both in person and on the telephone and email, you will enhance visitor enjoyment and understanding of the County Council’s countryside recreation sites. Operation of the till to process customer purchases will also be a significant feature of the role.

While providing a high-profile point of contact for visitors you will answer customer queries, providing guidance where necessary, in a friendly and welcoming manner. You will be integral to the wider ranger team and good communication is essential.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To be successful in this role you’ll need strong customer care and communication skills.. It’s essential that you want to work weekends and bank holidays and equally important you have the ability to work independently using your initiative, under pressure.
