Southam College is a highly successful school with currently 1645 students on roll. The Science Department has a strong track record of success in teaching the traditional three Sciences at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5. We are seeking to recruit a flexible and positive team player to join the Technicians in our highly successful Science Department.
Working closely with teaching staff and our 3 Science Technicians, your role will include preparation, organisation and maintenance of lesson materials and equipment. You will need to be proactive, flexible, highly organised and safety aware. Relevant skills and experience would be an advantage; however, enthusiasm is equally important as training will be given. The successful candidate will be required to provide First Aid on a weekly rota, for which full training will be provided and an allowance is payable.
A background in Science would be an advantage although demonstrable interest and enthusiasm would be equally valued. This position would suit career technicians and those wishing to gain experience and workplace skills before progressing into other areas within education, Science and elsewhere.
