Teaching Assistant – Level 2 SEND (Learning Support)

Fixed Term to 31 July 2023 (in the first instance - permanent contract could be available for a candidate with the appropriate qualifications and/or experience)

Band F, scp 7-10 (F:7 £20,092 to F:10 £21,748 full-time salary) to work

32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (term-time only, plus five days)

Actual starting salary on F:7 is £15,048 per annum after pro rata                    

We require a Teaching Assistant - Level 2 to join our friendly and proactive SEND team to work with KS3 and KS4 students, both in mainstream lessons and the school’s Access Area to assist in the teaching and support of SEND students, both one-to-one and in small groups.

We are looking for an energetic, organised and proactive colleague who possesses a positive attitude and wants to work with pupils who have specific educational needs. A good level of literacy and numeracy skills is required and a relevant qualification, or previous experience of working in a similar environment, would be an advantage.

Although previous experience is not absolutely necessary, a permanent contract could be considered for a candidate with the appropriate qualifications and/or experience.  We actively welcome visits from interested candidates by prior appointment – please contact Amanda Scott, HR Manager on 01926 743236.
