Job Details

As the lead partner in the Dudley Music Education Hub, Dudley Performing Arts provide specialist tuition across the schools, academies, colleges and other settings that make up the educational provision in the borough.

Hours: Casual - As and when required

The bulk of our work is related to the National Plan for Music Education and we deliver small group/individual music tuition, whole class teaching and a range of performance groups.

This is a casual contract, our supply team covers for staff absence, rescheduled sessions, one off rehearsals/concerts and projects. The work can vary from individual music tuition through to whole class teaching or rehearsing bands/choirs. One off projects are offered to those with relevant skills which includes all art forms.

We require musicians of all types and specialisms. This includes the full range of orchestral/western European instrumental tutors as well as guitar, keyboard, percussion, vocal and world music specialists. Presently we are keen to hear from all instrumentalists and singers as well as people with the ability to deliver music curriculum lessons.

Performance skills to post grade standard 8 are required on the specialist instrument (or equivalent) and we expect candidates to be practicing artists who are actively involved in education/performance work. Staff are required to provide own transport from school to school and will be offered training opportunities alongside our contracted team.

An additional pay allowance is available for those who hold QTS, all payment is made a month in arrears of any work undertaken.
