Job Details

The new bar/bistro adjacent to Dudley Town Hall will open in early Summer 2022. The venue will support entertainment events at Dudley Town Hall whilst also operating as a commercial trading venue offering a varied breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. We are seeking enthusiastic kitchen staff who are passionate about good quality food and excellent customer service to help deliver this offer

Hours: 25 per week

In the absence of the Head Chef/Bistro Manager, be responsible of the kitchen and food preparation at Brooke’s Bar and Bistro and to ensure that the offer is commercially viable.

To assist with planning, managing and delivering of a variety of food menus at the Brooke’s Bar and Bistro at Dudley Town Hall, ensuring that the offer increases both income and profitability.

The offer must remain exciting, meet customer expectations, be competitive within the market, and reflect new trends in hospitality food and beverages.

To ensure that all CLS Catering, and council policies and procedures are adhered to.

To work closely with Team Managers within other departments (i.e., bar and front of house) to ensure that overall customer expectations are being delivered.

This post is subject to the DBS checking process.

Driving Licence will be subject to checking with the DVLA.  It is a council requirement to have Business Use Car Insurance and a valid MOT certificate (For cars over 3 years old)

 

This is a physical / manual role.

Applicants must be flexible on working hours as the individual will be required to work  5 days out of 7 on a rota basis over a 25 hour week which will include Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Enhanced pay will be available for working Saturday (1.25), Sunday (1.50) and Bank Holiday (1.50). 

The bar/bistro will be open 11.30am -11.00pm Monday- Friday (to be reviewed after opening) and 9.30am - 11.00pm Saturday and Sunday.
