Telford & Wrekin Council Community Services are recruiting for a business support officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to provide support to the funding and grants service, which offers opportunities to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to receive funds that provide a range of services and activities which benefit communities across the borough.

The successful candidate will carry out a range of administrative duties to support the Councillors Pride Fund in particular, and assist with other community grant and funding streams that sit within Community Services.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an office environment and dealing with a wide range of people and organisations. You will need to have highly developed administrative, MS Office and organisational skills, with an attention to detail, as well as the ability to organise your work to meet competing demands.

The tasks required include managing shared/team inboxes, recording and processing grant applications, inputting and monitoring data into appropriate IT systems and databases. You will also be a point of contact for dealing with enquiries received by members of the public, elected ward Councillors and internal council services.
